Same Game Multis Explained

By Home Straight Racing Desk · Updated September 2026

A same game multi lets you combine several selections from a single match into one bet. It is offered by most Australian bookmakers on major sports such as AFL and NRL.

How it works

Each selection in a same game multi is called a leg. You might combine a team to win, a player to score and a total points line. Every leg must be successful for the bet to collect. If any leg loses, the whole bet loses.

How same game multis are priced

Because the legs come from the same match, they are often related. A team winning comfortably and its best player having a big game tend to go together. Bookmakers adjust the combined price for this, so it is often lower than multiplying the individual prices.

Names and features

Bookmakers use different names for the same idea, including Same Game Multi and Bet Builder. Some also offer features such as cash out on same game multis. Our bookmaker reviews show which features each bookmaker offers.
